Ali v. Liston - Chuck Horsman

24 x 30 Oil on Canvas

Chuck grew up on Indianapolis’ southside and currently lives in Greenwood.

As a graduate of the University of Indianapolis (1988) with a BS in Fine Arts, Chuck currently paints out of his studio in Greenwood and has a studio in the Stutz Building downtown.

Whether working on a portrait, landscape or still life, Chuck’s goal is to capture the spirit of the person or subject more than a photographic reproduction. His goal is to achieve a balance between what you see from a distance and the details you notice as you get closer. Sometimes using words or symbols around the painting to depict important areas of the subjects life.

Chuck is a Stutz Artist and displays work at his studios during the Stutz Artists Open House and the Holiday Show. You can also find his work at various times at the Carmel Art On Main Gallery and ProArt in Greenwood. His work is also featured on a billboard this year around the city courtesy of the Arts Council of Indianapolis.
