100% of the proceeds from the sale of this photograph benefit the creation of Sargent Road Nature Park in Indianapolis.

This photo was taken at a 25-acre natural habitat right here in northeast Indy that was recently purchased and protected by over 650 residents and several foundations banding together to raise over $550,000 to prevent its impending destruction and development. This effort, led by Mud Creek Conservancy (a non-profit, volunteer led, land trust) has preserved wetlands, meadows and old growth forests to allow the incredible biodiversity of native plants and wildlife at this site to continue to call our city home. Over 110 bird species have been identified at this site, as well as salamanders, tree frogs, box turtles, beavers, foxes, coyote, deer and more.

Sound like a place you might like to visit? You can make that a reality by contributing to this groups’ fundraising effort to create and open Sargent Road Nature Park at this site.
